Project manager at the Svinesund Committee, specializing in border obstacles and trade issues between Sweden and Norway. The work is about highlighting border obstacles that affect companies in the border region and driving the solution processes in the Nordic networks. The assignment also includes turning border obstacles into opportunities as well as planning and moderating seminars, for example "Business in Norway and Sweden". Previous experience from leading a Nordic project that successfully initiated solution processes and solved border obstacles that resulted in annual cost savings of approximately: SEK 300 million. (saved just over 2 billion SEK since the border barrier was resolved in 2014) Experience: - Project manager with a strong focus on results - 12 years of experience in Nordic border obstacles work - 17 years of experience in assignments within politically controlled organizations - Wide network in Nordic border obstacles work and business - Part of an expert in the EU network for border obstacles issues - Participation as speaker in the seminar 'Models of Cross-border Cooperation for a Post-Brexit Context', Irish Parliament in Dublin.

The project resulted in over 100 border obstacles being identified and several obstacles resolved. One of the solved obstacles resulted in direct cost savings of approximately SEK 300 million / year. The analysis was carried out at 21 technical units in a total of nine municipalities and 833 participants with the support of internal and external process leaders, respectively. Competence development needs were identified at the individual level and the data was used in e.g. a. upcoming employee interviews and for the municipalities' long-term education planning.

The ministerial meeting with Minister of Trade, Ewa Björling, gathered almost 150 people from all over the Nordic region and had a direct effect on border obstacle work. Several unresolved border obstacle were raised before and during the meeting and the willingness to find practical solutions was palpable. One example was the costly interpretations of the rules on GSP certificates (certificates of origin for clothing imports), where Norway presented a solution. The event was a media success and an injection in the border obstacle work.
