  I started working at Martins on second intake of semi-skilled workers initially on the shop floor as a machinist, after a short period of time a position in the inspection department became available and I moved into this role. I now responsible for compiling FAIR reports for jobs that are new or are in need of an updated version. In my role I use CMMs on a daily basis and other non contact measuring machines for efficient and accurate results.Our inspection department is run by a small but efficient team and work effectively to get the jobs done.

  I started as a ramp agent in 2005 with the loading and unloading of aircraft, after 6 months in the role I was promoted to a leading hand and given the responsibility to turn an aircraft round with a team people who where designated roles by myself to ensure the safe and efficient process as to have no delays. Cargo and military flights were also common and these may have had anything from food products to weapons and human remains and each had to be managed in their own way. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the airport and made life long friends and a added bonus of meeting my now wife whilst there.
