While attending the university, I worked as a consultant in a sales manager position for the American based company Kadaks INC. serving mainly the marine sector, but also other sectors like industrial, power plants, and transportation as well. The type of position and contract with Kadaks provides a lot flexibility, which was necessary during periods of exams at the university. Key functions of this position include sales, promotional, and analytical work. In close cooperation with the CEO and technical sales manager, I have been assisting in doing market research, arranging sales meetings and presentations, and setting up the office in Rotterdam. Furthermore, I have been attending and assisting Kadaks on several conventions and trade-shows worldwide for several years. Show less

    • Sales Manager - Hotel division
      • Aug 2010 - Aug 2012

Shores of Denmark is a manufacturer of high quality outdoor furniture and fabrics. With an extremely proactive and systemically approach, I succeeded in building the Hotel Division for Shores of Denmark. Starting from zero and with a main focus on creating valuable solutions for the customers, we archived the first larger order 3 months after launching the Hotel Division. Adding extra value for the customers, in the form of a high degree of service, convenience, and integrity was the key factor for our success in a market with increasing competition. With the strategy of starting out by delivering smaller fabric orders like refurbishments and cushion orders, we were able to prove that we are a reliable and trustworthy supplier, which eventually gave us the opportunity to be considered for larger furniture replacements at the hotels. An example of a valuable solution for the customer. When purchasing new furniture or remodeling an entire area, like a pool area or balconies, the hotels often hire an interior designer or architect to make a design layout for a better outcome and not having to deal with design layout themselves. This is an extra expense for the hotels. Therefore I started a collaboration with Marisol Creed, a former RTKL designer, and together we were able to provide the customers with complete package solution of beautiful design layout with furniture and fabrics delivered to the door.
