Amy was never really made to work for anyone else. After graduating she started to work in Customer Services for a scuba diving company and quickly realised this was not for her. She started her Hair Extension business as a part time hussle – soon she was earning more than in her junior role and she gave this up. Self-employment offered her flexibility, she loved being her own boss, it was a no brainer. The ‘lightbulb moment’ for SimplyHair came when her ambition got the better of her – not satisfied with earning an admirable salary from the Hair Extension business, she considered where to go next. Wife and husband team Amy & Pip Filippaios started Simply Hair in 2013; combining their talents and experience within haircare and digital marketing. It is now a multi million pound operation servicing salons nationwide. Amy is the creative brains and heart behind the business. She inherently understands the needs of her customer to deliver the best service to their clients, and sees herself and SimplyHair as key enablers in this. It’s all about giving SimplyHair customers the tools, the inspiration (a big part!!) and the education to build their own successful Hair Salon businesses. She is driven and hugely ambitious; bold in the way she continuously wants to move the business forward and into new areas. No hurdle is too high, her passion, positivity and can-do attitude makes everything and anything possible.
