Muse Knoxville is a children's museum located in Chilhowee Park. Our onsite, community and in-school outreach programs and services focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) educational opportunities. The mission of Muse Knoxville is to inspire and empower all children through transformative learning experiences. We hope to make our community the best place for all to learn through the power of play!As the Executive Director, I...-Oversee all strategic museum operations, including managing a $1,600,000+ annual budget for a non-profit serving over 100K visitors and over 60K students annually with a $5 million+ annual economic impact-Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of museum programs-Conduct short and long-range strategic planning-Energize the greater Knoxville community and East TN region to become an active stakeholder in the success and expansion of Muse Knoxville offerings-Cultivate and develop relationships with corporate and individual donors, state and local government, community organizations and educational institutions-Develop and execute a Strategic Marketing plan to increase awareness of museum offerings to individuals and educational institutions-Collect and interpret data (demographic, educational, test score, income level) of pre-K through 12th-grade students in the museum service region to assess community needs and better fulfill museum mission-Engage and inform the Board of Trustees in the short and long term goals of the museum and foster a transparent and collaborative working relationship between the Board and museum staff-Effectively engage and develop Leadership Team and Museum staff team in support of the mission, vision and core values of the organization Show less
