At San Jose Obrero Mission (SJOM) my efforts were primarily focused on ending homelessness. SJOM's works to lead homeless families and individuals to a path to self-sufficiency by providing shelter and case management focused on career coaching, life skills training, referral and follow-up services. During my tenure at SJOM I managed the marketing and communications for all audiences, to facilitate donor stewardship, to persuade corporations and foundations relations, and to develop materials used for grant writing, annual gala event, and annual appeal. In my role I also developed and implemented new marketing campaigns, co-managed events and created co-branding strategies, to increase awareness of SJOM programs to prospective donors, foundations, corporations, elected officials, local community stakeholders and others. I also boosted SJOM’s press relations with local TV networks affiliates (featured on NBC, Univision & Telemundo), and ramped up SJOM's social media presence in Facebook, YouTube and Twitter (including the production of web content such as info-graphics, client testimonials, and its quarterly newsletters).
