Worked on implementing a complete avionics system for a first-generation pressure fed engine, Genesis, with a focus on data collecting and logging. -Implemented a robust connection scheme from the engine electronics to a server in order to determine the status of the engine during a test fire. - Developed a data management scheme to delimit type and value of information from over 40 sensors placed across the engine while transmitting the data to the server. Tasked with recruiting, interviewing, organizing, and managing TAMU ThinkTank's competition teams for a variety of major aerospace design competitions. - Created process for applications, interviewing, and forming competition teams from scratch to best meet the unique needs of the organization. - Marketed at several major engineering open house events and attracted interest in the brand new organization. -Reviewed and personally interviewed a vast majority of the over 100 applicants. Created 5 new competition teams with customized team leadership structure to best support their success in their specific competition. - Aided in teaching competition teams industry-level system engineering and proper documentation. These lessons significantly aided the progress of the research competition teams expected to submit proper documentation. -Managed team leads of all of the teams to ensure steady progress was made in addition to resolving personal and technical conflicts that arose in the teams. - Documented the procedures of the Head Competition Team Coordinator in addition to automating portions of the application process for future recruiters. - Worked with other organization officers to coordinate the expansion of the organization into a larger technical organization with roles for members of all levels of experience. As part of the Texas Space Grant Consortium, lead a team of undergraduates to research, test, and develop a novel crew tracking system for implementation in the Human Exploration Research Analog facility at JSC. - Developed several real-time location system (RTLS) schemes using Ultrawide Band (UWB) technology and the associated DW3000 API. The latest schemes involve a Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA) scheme and a heavily modified Two-Way Ranging (TWR) scheme. - Developed and optimized the implementation of a non-linear least squares approximator (Levenberg-Marquardt Algorithm) in C++ for determining position of tagged objects in 3D space. - Created several unique algorithms for optimization of various functions such as sub-nanosecond clock synchronization and anchor searching functions for both TDoA and TWR schemes. - Co-authored a real-time visualization C++ program which allows researchers to track crew movement across the HERA facility without the need of cameras or other intrusive tools. - Optimized the complete system for both tracking schemes via extensive testing which improved efficiency by a factor of over 1000% and 400% respectively. - Communicated progress made into the field with NASA employees in addition to fellow engineering students through presentations and displays at conferences. - Lead a team of researches by delegating tasks and working with each member to ensure all sub tasks were operational. Additionally coordinated the integration of all sub tasks for showcase of prototype demonstration for multiple competition showcases. Show less

Worked under the ASTRO Lab in the Aerospace Department at Texas A&M University, to continue research into novel solutions to improve the simulation fidelity of the SpaceCRAFT platform. - Researched new ordinary differential equation integrator methods such as dissipative symplectic Hamiltonian and higher order Taylor methods to determine feasibility of replacing current Runge-Kutta methods and energy conservation to the simulation. - Created an nth order Runge-Kutta integrator for the SpaceCRAFT core math platform. This system uses formatted Butcher Tableaus to determine Runge-Kutta parameters and error estimators to solve orbital dynamics equations. It also allows for custom Runge-Kutta methods for use in specific problems. - Created an Adams-Bashforth-Moulton 4th order integrator for the SpaceCRAFT core math platform. - Implemented and optimized a Levenberg-Marquardt Algorithm as a root finder for the SpaceCRAFT core math platform. Vastly improved stability of the root finder in addition to lowering search times for global minimum for non-linear equations compared to the previously used Newton-Raphson method. - Gathered planetary surface from various government sources and combined them together to create high resolution maps of a number of moons in the solar system. These maps were then configured to create models of those moons for use in the SpaceCRAFT simulation package. Show less
