During my time in SAP I worked in the integration team, the integration team focuses mainly on the coding side, where we would take existing customers code that was not running efficiently and optimised the code to run faster, most of these problems were caused by queries to the database. All coding was written in the inhouse language of ABAP which has similarities to SQL.
