The Women Leaders Awards recognise the achievements of remarkable women living or working within Milton Keynes. This prestigious event celebrates the very best of talented local women and has grown year on year to be a significant date for the professional community. Nominees in 15 categories will have contributed to the success of their industry sector, their organisation or the growth of the wider Milton Keynes community. After a rigorous judging process, the winners will be announced at a Gala Awards Ceremony held at the DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel, Stadium MK, on October 16th. Over 600 guests attended the 2019 event and this year promises to be another wonderful evening. Women Leaders Chair Dr Julie Mills OBE, said: “Women Leaders UK aims to encourage women of all ages to develop their careers and achieve their full potential, including in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. There are some new categories this year and we encourage everyone to think about the inspiring and amazing women they know and nominate them.” Founded by Jan Flawn CBE, winner of the First Women of Business Services award in 2013, the awards are now in their sixth year and continue to champion the power of the Milton Keynes talent pool within the wider context of the UK. This year builds on the success of those before and will be even more impactful. With Milton Keynes recently ranked as the best UK city for women in business there is much to celebrate. The charity, its sponsors and the nominees alike will enjoy a fabulous evening that showcases the achievements and leadership capability within our city. There are lots of ways to support and several sponsorship packages designed to affiliate sponsors’ own branding with the growing impact of the Women Leaders’ charity.
