Overview

The organization was created after a visit to two refugee camps on Lesvos in 2018. The reason for setting up was seeing the very distressing psychological distress and the inadequate help on the spot. The aim of WorldPsychologists is to provide psychosocial help to refugees and the volunteers in emergency situations where structural support is not available. We see psychosocial help as just as important as food, water, shelter and safety. It is not a bonus, but should become a standard part of humanitarian support. World Psychologists aims to make a substantial contribution to this.
