During a full one day workshop immersing participants in the fascinating world of traditional Swiss watchmaking, Montres CIMIER watchmakers guide students through the delicate process of assembling a watch, from its sophisticated mechanical movement to its intricately decorated components. Participants choose their preferences from a large selection of high quality components to create their very own masterpiece This unique experience is often offered as a gift to a loved one or business associate, and also makes for an unforgettable executive team-building event in the corporate world. No prior technical skills are required so it’s open to almost everyone, with each student guaranteed sympathetic, one-to-one, in-depth instruction. To celebrate this important 10 year milestone, Montres CIMIER is re-launching the Watch Academy in September with a broader more experience oriented program, as well as offering new base product models and an even wider choice of high quality components. CIMIER was founded by Joseph Lapanouse in the Swiss village of Bubendorf in 1924, gaining initial success based on pin-pallet escapement watches. Today, CIMIER is a profitable independent watchmaker perpetuating the art, tradition and fundamental values of Swiss watchmaking.
