Here, in VARCUS, we are developing two major projects: AEGIR and ESBEN. AEGIR is a crew operations training platform in Extended Reality (XR): - Reliable simulation of conditions and work situations - employees learn by doing by engaging their muscle memory. - Syncing with real objects - e.g. the controls of a maritime vessel or a fire extinguisher. - Several people can practice their roles simultaneously. Users see each other within the virtual scene, interacting with their surroundings as well. - Easily embeddable training program that an employee must complete in order to be accredited. - Analysis of user behavior monitors the completion of assigned tasks. For example, whether the user has looked at the ship's rear view cameras before performing a manoeuvre. ESBEN is an Augmented Reality (AR) Navigation Bridge: - Maritime navigation head-up display - Calculates the course and objects nearby, warns of dangerous situations - Provides handling advice, based on wind, sea and current vessel data - Shows info about boats nearby and places marked by other users - Collects data from vessels around via encrypted blockchain protocol Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions!
