Overview
The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani, Brong Ahafo Region is a Public University established by an Act of Parliament, Act 830 in December 2011. The Mission of the University is to promote the development of human resources and skills required to solve critical energy and natural resources challenges of society and undertake interdisciplinary academic research and outreach programmes in engineering, science, economics and environmental policy. UENR has admitted its first batch of students for the 2012/2013 academic year in September 2012. Our motto is ‘knowledge, integrity, impact’. Our vision and motto have set us on an agenda that will seek to develop the individual to the fullest. We don't want to produce graduates who will be mere reflectors of other men's thoughts. Rather, our vision compels us to train independent thinkers and innovators who will move their worlds; young men and women who will exercise their minds to solve the energy and natural resource crises confronting us; young men and women who possess not only the ambition to dream, but have the intellectual and practical knowledge to effect the change they want to see in the world; young men and women who will use their degrees to benefit and uplift humanity. University of Energy and Natural Resources is the first and only Energy and Natural Resources University on the continent of Africa. Ghana’s oil find and policy to increase the renewable
