Overview

Time to Talk UK is a fully confidential social media based support group for those suffering with mental health issues and their carers. Time to Talk UK provides an empathy based peer support service in a safe, carefully supervised, fully confidential and well moderated online environment, where members are able to share their feelings, combat loneliness and support each other 7 days a week. As well as peer support, interaction and advice (if required) daily exercises are undertaken to celebrate victories, random acts of kindness and self care. Group exercises (based on a CBT format) are carried out and clubs take place monthly on various themes, including books, music and arts clubs. Events such as dedicated Women’s and Men’s Health Weekends and Stress Awareness Week also regularly take place. Time to Talk believes that fully private and confidential peer based online support is missing from the mental health services currently provided by the NHS and strives to provide a safe, comfortable and interactive environment when members need it most.
