Trellis Transit Technologies, Inc.

Transportation/Trucking/Railroad

Overview

People, goods, and services travel efficiently in Smart Trellis Pods running below Micro‐Rails supported by lightweight poles above street congestion. Pods move seamlessly between any two Stops on the Micro‐Rail Grid, autonomously traversing multitudes of clever elevated switches and intersections to minimize total trip duration. No stopping while riding Trellis, or waiting for connections. Trellis is the Fastest, Cleanest and Most Affordable transit on the planet. Comparing Trellis with legacy LRT, BRT, and Subway corridor systems - these legacy systems consume massive quantities of the planet's resources, not only of concrete and aggregates during their corridor construction slicing through urban communities, but also consumption of excessive electricity during daily operations. For example, the vehicle mass of a typical LRT averages over 800+ kg per seat vs Trellis at 30-40 kg per seat. And LRTs spend more time travelling their rails partially empty during off-peak periods throughout the day and evening than they do carrying large passenger loads during peak periods. The energy footprint of LRTs is simply unsustainable and cannot be justified under any climate crisis solution scenario. Regulatory push for corridor public transit expansion is clearly part of the problem, not the solution to GHG reduction.
