The research method will be carried out by the institution can be said as the continuous works of Prof Satjipto Rahardjo and his law and society studies, with a particular focus on the digital era. The approach employed in law and public policy studies on the topic of information technology is based on socio-legal and multidisciplinary methods. Currently, we focus on the issue of data protection law. Giving people a legal awareness on data protection law, accompanying government to strengthen the data protection policy and encouraging the private sector to enhance the quality of data protection compliance, indeed, is our concern to improve the right to privacy and digital democracy in Indonesia. The digital economy is one of our fortunes greatly that we may foster a legal culture of data protection laws to safeguard people’s privacy.
