Home to countless legends, curiosities, and varied debauchery over the last century. The grand old building was an extravagant whore-house, a gambling den, the offices of INXS, and today it stands transformed as Sydney’s most charismatic bar and nightclub experience – that preferred palace of perennial partying, The World Bar. Our maze of rooms, booths, stairwells and hidden areas is open for exploration 7 days and nights a week, accented by an expansive outdoor terrace garden. A wide range of clientele enjoy an eclectic mash of entertainment - local indie bands ply their noisy craft in Parisian-inspired nooks; international DJs push cutting-edge club sounds in a NY-style underground nightclub; young artists exhibit their work in an upstairs gallery room that later becomes a rave-cave. Hipsters, clubkids, travelers and locals - people of all ages and walks of life - make up the thousands who cross our threshold weekly.
