Overview

Territorial Generation Company no. 1 (TGC-1 or TGK-1) is the leading producer and supplier of electricity and heat in the North-West of Russia and the 3rd largest territorial generating company in Russia in terms of installed electric capacity. It operates 55 electric generating stations in four regions of Russia – the City of St Petersburg, Republic of Karelia, Leningrad Region and Murmansk Region – with a total installed electric capacity of over 6.3 GW and heat capacity of over 14,300 GCal per hour. The Company’s major assets include thermal (cogeneration) and hydroelectric power plants and a heating grid of over 970 km. TGC-1 sells electricity on the domestic wholesale market and partly exports to neighboring Finland and Norway. The company is a strategic supplier of heat in St. Petersburg, Petrozavodsk, Murmansk, Kirovsk and Apatity. TGC-1 is listed in Russia on MICEX (ticker – TGKA) and RTS stock exchange (tickers – TGKA, TGKAG). Major Shareholders: Gazprom (51.79%), Fortum (25.66 %).
