Texas Radiology Associates (TRA)

Hospitals and Health Care

Overview

Texas Radiology Associates (TRA) started as a practice with just three radiologists at Richardson Regional Medical Center in 1971 and The Medical Center of Plano in 1975. TRA has grown rapidly to a 150 subspecialized radiology practice serving hospitals, centers, and clinics across North Texas. Texas Radiology Associates (TRA) works cohesively with hospitals and referring physicians to provide high-quality service and care for the health of the communities we serve. The majority of our radiologists are fellowship-trained at leading institutions in subspecialties including interventional radiology, women’s imaging, neuroradiology, pediatric radiology, abdominal imaging, musculoskeletal (sports) imaging, cardiovascular imaging, nuclear medicine, and emergency radiology. As a result, we offer the full spectrum of diagnostic and interventional radiology services, including all modalities as well as vascular and non-vascular procedures. Our internal quality assurance and peer review process promotes professional accountability and performance. TRA radiologists are held to the highest quality standards through an internal peer review process. This process reviews every reported discrepancy with the reading radiologist, codes the reported discrepancy using a standardized classification system, and reports the discrepancy to the reading radiologist, resulting in continuous professional practice improvement.
