Overview

Stoke White is an international law firm whose litigation work has been recognised by governments, media and international organisations including the International Criminal Court, the European Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights. It’s most well-known cases include representing victims of the 2010 "Gaza Freedom Flotilla" at the ICC. The firm was also the first to open a case against Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad at the ICC. It has represented a number of NGOs in bringing cases against alleged perpetrators of human rights abuse, as well as taking on individual cases on behalf of victims of human rights violations, among them lawyers, charities and journalists. We have supported organisations and individuals to make evidence-based applications for arrest warrants for leaders who violate international law and we assist with providing evidence and submissions to UN special rapporteurs. The firm has departments specialising in immigration, commercial and employment law, supports both large corporations, small businesses and individuals with diverse needs in the UK and across the world. These involve, among other concerns, family and business immigration, data protection and privacy law for individuals and companies, family law (both UK and Islamic law), charity law (including legal compliance procedures), employment law as well as services related to wills and trusts. Stoke White distinguishes itself from other legal firms in that it has a dedicated Investigations Unit. This unit produces investigations on international law violations in different areas of the world. The unit consists of a team of OSINT/HUMINT specialists working in tandem with lawyers for litigation. They employ cutting edge technology and conduct fieldwork to gather evidence, data and testimonies from survivors of human rights abuses. It has already worked in Mali, Yemen, Syria, Kashmir and other regions where low-level conflicts continue to subvert justice.
