Safety Light Alerting Drivers (SLAD) is a smart city notification system that has been designed to assist the first responders in their transit to an emergency call without being impeded. Our mobile application will notify the motorist, pedestrians in the geo-fencing area of that particular intersection to merge safely out of harm's way. This innovative system will build communication bridges to connect the public and first responders within the city which will ultimately minimize casualties and fatalities and improve response times.
