Overview
Shawflex Inspection Systems is a leader in the design and manufacture of specialised industrial digital non-destructive testing systems. We provide high value to customers by developing and commercialising innovative x-ray technologies with low cost of ownership and full support. Our range of innovative products are offered to specifically to eliminate the need to use x-ray film while speeding up inspection processes. SIS utilizes its dedicated R&D capabilities to address extensive and diverse applications in a wide range of industries including aeronautical, space, ordnance/military, nuclear, materials and oil and gas. Our technologies are of particular value to weld inspection in the pipeline industry. Features include the ability to inspect welds at both fast and at high resolution. Our innovative gamma sensitive linear detectors can detect corrosion under lagging and have potential applications for underwater inspection of in-service pipelines and flexible risers. SIS provides expertise in a specialized range of x-ray equipment designed to meet specific customer requirements including both the hardware and specialized software needed to ensure the efficient operation of the inspection system. In-house software provides for digital image acquisition, CNC manipulator control, component database and interfaces to the customer plant. Our computed tomography software provides a ‘3rd dimension‘ to radiographic data allowing detailed component volume analysis and sizing.
