In our modern times where many of the items we use and enjoy are manufactured in far-off places, Run of the Mill documents the beginnings of the history of mass production and the Industrial Revolution in the United States. Run of the Mill conserves the buildings that were involved in this period of history that are essential to understanding our modern world and how it currently functions, well as buildings of other significant historical value. We use the visual documentation mediums of drone and digital photography and film. We, the people of modernity, have no right to erase the past. Not every building can or should be preserved in the physical realm, but we believe every building should have the opportunity to be represented in the digital realm. The only way we can learn and grow as a society is to continue to learn about the successes and failures of the past. Run of the Mill seeks to aid developers, architects, and preservation societies so that they may add to the collective knowledge base of American architecture before historical buildings are demolished or altered.
