Directing the joint operations of all Services and reinforcing the capability in defending the country from all types of threats 3. Supporting the government in solving the country’s major problems, conducting national development and providing assistance to the people 4. Protecting and safeguarding the national interests 5. Strengthening security cooperation with neighbouring countries in ASEAN, allied countries and international organizations 6. Promoting peace and order in the country by adhering to the humanitarian principle and peaceful means 7. Conducting peace operations under the United Nations framework in order to uphold the country’s honour and dignity in the world community
