Overview

In September 2021, our dear friend and colleague, Nick Clitheroe had to tell his 10-year-old son that, due to secondary bowel cancer, he only had weeks left to live. Understandably it was the most difficult conversation he's ever had to face. Heartbroken at the thought of not being around to provide the career guidance, connections and support that he would have so dearly loved to offer his son, he took to LinkedIn and posted a request to whomever felt touched and compelled to join 'Reuben's List' - a community of people who would be willing to be there for Reuben when the time comes and he needs professional help. Be that advice, work experience, an internship, access to networks, a first job, a chat about academic choices or what it’s like to be a designer or a rocket scientist or to start your own business. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, way beyond anything that Nick could have hoped for. And so here we are, helping to make this list a reality on behalf of Nick, for Reuben.
