While eBooks and other digital sources provide great ways to streamline the research process (searchable, organized, easy annotations), the fact is the the digital transition is far from complete. For plenty of reasons (including preference, copyright stalls, cost, accessibility) - students will still be doing at least a portion of their research from paper sources. eHighlighter, the first product from Research Habits, uses your iPhone camera and a proprietary combination of image recognition and OCR technologies to bring eBooks benefits to paper sources.
