Pink Butterfly Accounting was founded by myself Joanne McArdle. I worked for over 14 years in the hair and beauty industry, working a variety of roles from junior to reception and then going on to salon management and also management of the business finances. I really did enjoy all of the treatments but I knew I didn't have the flair to do the hair and was not quite chic enough for the beauty. My passion was with the numbers and working to maximise the profits and improve the team and salon performance. This passion led me on to university where I gained a 1st class honours degree in Accounting & Finance and completed chartered accountancy exams. Following completion of my studies I left the hair & beauty industry to pursue a career as an accountant. Having worked in the salon industry to then becoming an accountant my dream was always to merge this experience. I want to share my knowledge to support business owners in the hair, beauty & aesthetic industry to understand their financials and help them to grow their business.
