Established in 2004, the Pennington Marine Science Center is located in Emerald Bay, on the west end of Catalina Island. We are a 6,000 gallon marine aquarium facility, the largest of its kind on the island. We showcase local marine flora and fauna found in the waters off the island and educate Scouts and community groups about the local ecosystem, animals, and life on the island.
