ABOUT US The Pasifika Lawyers Association of Queensland Inc ('PLAQ') is a Brisbane-based incorporated association (IA Number: IA58029) network of Pasifika people connected to the law who celebrate their Pasifika cultural diversity and are passionate about the law, its role and value in our lives and communities. OUR PURPOSE Pasifika lawyers providing support, expanding networks and creating opportunities OUR OBJECTIVES TO EDUCATE: the knowledge and profile of our members, communities and businesses TO SUPPORT: Pasifika-connected lawyers, students and community in Queensland TO NETWORK: connect, share information, resources and opportunities TO FACILITATE: forums, conversations or events relevant to our association and community WHO CAN JOIN The Pasifika Lawyers Association of Queensland is all inclusive. We welcome anyone who has a connection to the Pacific Islands/Oceania and New Zealand (Maori) and a connection to the law (e.g. legal professionals, lawyers, law students, academics, anyone with a law degree or who works in a field related to the law.).
