Open Heart Magic brings laughter, strength, and hope to sick kids facing difficult illness, unexpected hospital stays, and frighteningly serious medical situations. Through unique, therapeutic, and exciting programming, young patients are engaged, empowered, and given hope at the most critical time of their treatment—right at their hospital bed—to help kids turn a corner and feel better. Open Heart Magic (OHM) meets kids where they are, working in pediatric intensive care, in-patient cancer units, immunocompromised isolation rooms, burn units, and wherever else kids are fighting for their health. Partnering with several top children’s hospitals across the Midwest, OHM utilizes two specialized programs—developed with hospital leaders and life-saving protocol—to deliver self-confidence, control, hope, and some much needed magic, to thousands of young patients in need.
