The Midlands-based business became the first in the events and exhibition industry to achieve NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) accreditation and will now deliver both NEBOSH qualifications and IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) training courses through the Oncourse Centre of Excellence. NEC Group Health and Safety Trainer, Julie Fletcher said, “Having gained IOSH accreditation over eight years ago, we are both proud and delighted to add NEBOSH qualifications to our portfolio.” “We are fast securing our position as market leaders in the live events industry for Health and Safety and Oncourse will enable us to pass on our expertise across a range of other industries. The courses will be open to all and delivered by competent, professional trainers.” The NEC Group are currently licensed to HABC (Highfields Awarding Body for Compliance) – The UK’s leading supplier of compliance training materials – and through its newly launched Centre of Excellence, will also be delivering various levels of food safety training using these materials. Other courses on offer through Oncourse include; IOSH Working Safely, IOSH Noise in Music, Broadcasting and Entertainment Industry, NEBOSH General Certificate and NEBOSH National Construction Certificate.
