OCN-Ocean Crewing Network Inc. is a global marine manning and crewing agency dedicated exclusively to Certificated STCW-95 Mariners. OCN President, Brian H. Barnett, founded OCN to network both the professional seagoing mariners, across Canada and around the world with Commercial Ship Owners/Employers as well as the Super Yachts. We presently have a resource of over five thousand, six hundred (5,600) registered IMO STCW-95 Mariners and increasing at approximately four (4) per working day. To increase our exposure and broaden the field of certificated mariners OCN has cooperation agreements with other very reputable marine crewing agencies strategically placed around the world to meet the demands for placement of certificated mariners on all global vessels. At present, we have joint operations in Dover, England, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Riga, Latvia. Our service offers extremely competitive rates and relieves the Ship Owner/Employer of the time and expense of finding reliable Certificated Mariners any where in the world. OCN has registered Certificated Deck, Engineering, and Other Mariners who are available immediately for short or extended marine employment. OCN’s staff is experienced in coastal, ocean-going vessel crewing, shore-based marine employment, yacht crewing, administration and is committed to provide comprehensive service to Mariners and Ship Owners alike. We are fully familiar with and cognizant of mandated and necessary requirements of Ships’ Officers and a thorough knowledge of International Marine Organization (IMO), STCW-95, and Transport Canada Regulations under the Canada Shipping Act 2001.
