National Coordinating Center for the Regional Genetics Networks (NCC)
Hospitals and Health CareOverview
The National Coordinating Center for the Regional Genetics Networks (NCC) works with the seven Regional Genetics Networks (RGNs) and the National Genetics Education and Family Support Center (Family Center) to improve access to genetic services for underserved populations. NCC accomplishes this mission primarily through genetics and genomics education and genetics policy education. Efforts include developing and maintaining the ACMG ACT Sheets, Genetics Policy Hub, and Interpreting for Genetics training program. Additionally, the NCC develops tools and resources to provide support to the public health genetics system. These include our "Find a Genetic Clinic Directory" and Public Health Genetics and Genomics Week. NCC is funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) as a cooperative agreement to the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG).
