Established in 2018, morena strategies grew out of the firsthand needs its founder, Rémy De La Peza, witnessed after over 10 years in the nonprofit sector. Grassroots organizations and advocates are frequently in need of technical support and additional capacity to respond to immediate challenges or plan for sustainable futures. All too often, the resources available are external and lack intimate understanding of a people's history, community politics, and existing assets and challenges. As a known and reputable member of greater LA's advocacy community, Rémy seeks to provide a more grounded and trusted approach to consulting solutions through morena strategies. Specializing in collaborating with community-based and grassroots nonprofits and advocates to catalyze, amplify & fortify impactful programs and cornerstone organizations, morena strategies has specific expertise in policy advocacy, technical land use and planning, affordable housing, anti-gentrification, and non-profit management.
