Mehta (Retd.) is one of the nation’s eminent jurists with a deep understanding of ADR & a preeminent arbitrator & mediator for complex & high-stake cases. During his long career in the judiciary both as a High Court judge & also as a judge at district courts in Delhi, he has delivered several judgments, many of which have been landmark pronouncements. He was the 1st Asian to be selected for International Fellowship on ADR in 2009 & the 1st fellow of JAMS Foundation & was awarded the Certificate of outstanding ‘International Commercial Dispute Resolver’. During his tenure as Pr. Secretary (Law, Justice & Legislature Affairs) in the Govt. of NCT of Delhi he set up the Delhi Dispute Resolution Society as a joint venture between the Delhi Govt. & Delhi HC. Advocate Prashant Mehta has been a legal spearhead since his early education days, & has been awarded several scholarships from St. Stephens College, DU, & Cambridge University, UK during the course of his education. He started his career in 2006 gaining experience in representing & advising various Government Depts., Public Sector & Multinational Cos. on issues involving Arbitration, Land, Administrative, Banking, Constitutional, Mining, Electricity, Criminal & Corporate Laws, & represented the clients before various Courts in India & abroad. He worked extensively on joint venture, collaboration, & technology transfer agreements, aircraft manufacturer disputes & real estate disputes.
