Set amidst the beautiful Blubberhouses Moor lies Mackenzies Farm Shop & Café, a family business creating superb smoked and cured foods. “For more than 25 years we have pioneered and created some of the finest smoked foods available” Mackenzies launch to fame began by our presenting a sample of our superb Oak smoked Scottish to the prestigious Fortnum and Mason’s department store in London. Mackenzies won and from that date many years ago we have grown from strength producing and supplying some of the finest products in the country. Mackenzies now produce some of the very best dry cured bacons and hams available today and we stand by the fact that our bacon is ‘bacon as it used to be’ which is true testament to our quality. Here at Mackenzies we use traditional methods of curing and smoking, burning only pure oak chips to ensure the best natural flavours, priding ourselves on producing outstanding oak smoked foods free from artificial colours and flavourings.
