Overview

LND is an interdisciplinary and innovative research laboratory and is located in Thessaloniki, Greece. Our lab specializes in Neurodegenerative Diseases through many different specialties. Our main research areas include brain organoids, the study of new biomarkers for early diagnosis, new proposals towards the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as non-pharmacological interventions, and primary and applied research. LND is active in many different scientific fields including Biochemistry, Neurology, Psychology, Immunochemistry, and Technology. LND in collaboration with Alzheimer Hellas, also provides for the Hellenic Biobank of Neurodegenerative Diseases, with more than 3000 samples of blood, CSF, saliva and microbiome from both patients and healthy individuals.
