Overview

Lafayette is a vertically integrated asset manager focused on acquiring, financing and managing US single-family homes. We are one of the top 15 Largest SFR owners in the US with a gross AUM of $1bn across ~4,000 single-family homes mostly located in high-growth Southeastern States. Since our launch in 2011, other institutions have acquired more than 300,000 SFR homes giving birth to a new asset class. We take pride in having participated in the US real estate recovery after the subprime crisis, positively impacting the neighborhoods where we operate, renovating vacant homes, creating jobs, and providing good quality houses to families that don’t want to or cannot become homeowners. There is currently an acute shortage of homes in the US and Lafayette is contributing to the solution by building new supply and renovating existing inventory in need of an upgrade. Timeline: • Founded in 2011 by Thibault Adrien after identifying a unique opportunity to buy, renovate and rent single-family homes in the US and provide European investors exposure to the US Real Estate market recovery. • First two funds executed on a “distressed” acquisition strategy focused on buying homes from banks. • In 2013, Lafayette expanded its scope and launched a land fund. • In 2014 Lafayette launched Brandywine Homes USA, a wholly-owned property management arm, with a mission to provide top-quality service to residents and enhance investor returns by effectively managing maintenance costs and maximizing renewal rates. • In 2016, Lafayette launched Lafayette Lending, a private lending activity dedicated to single-family home investors. • In 2018 Lafayette recapitalized and merged its existing funds to create a long-term investment company: Longview. It also launched Fund III with a hybrid SFR equity and credit strategy. • In 2019 and 2022, Lafayette launched two joint ventures with two large US institutions focused on a Build-for-Rent strategy, providing much-needed supply to the SFR market
