Overview

The Insurance Institute of Zambia (IIZA) is currently registered under the Societies Act Cap 119 of the Laws of Zambia as an individual based professional body for all insurance and risk management practitioners in the Zambian Insurance and Pensions industry. The aim and fundamentals of the IIZA are to ensure that: 1. Those who provide insurance, financial and retirement planning services are knowledgeable and trustworthy. 2. To achieve industry “best practice” in corporate governance and Intellectual capital management. IIZA also seeks to make membership a pre-requisite to anyone holding a position in the Industry. This is to the advantage of the individual practitioners, the entities they work for and most importantly, the benefit of service end-users (or the general public at large).
