AGI is a pan-African centre of excellence which contributes to the development and the valorisation of an innovative thinking on the governance challenges with which the African continent is faced and helps to implement solutions to be adopted by African regional and sub-regional organisations, States, Non States Actors and private sector. The mission of AGI is to: - Promote an African vision on governance which can assure the institutionalization of participatory, inclusive and accountable democracy; sustain the African dynamic of growth and the robust integration agenda; contribute to the socio-economic transformation of the continent in an environment of peace and security; - Analyze, document and disseminate knowledge on governance in Africa; - Develop and enhance the capacities of African individuals and institutions (in particular the African Union, the APRM and the Regional Economic Communities) on governance issues; - Offer a framework for collaboration, coordination and networking to institutes, centres and other actors of governance in Africa.
