Overview

The National Institute of Science and Technology in Electric Energy, INERGE, is a research institute under the seal of CAPES, CNPq and FAPEMIG, formed by a group of researchers from the Federal Universities of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), Itajubá (UNIFEI), Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Fluminense (UFF), São João del Rei (UFSJ) and ABC (UFABC). The institute was created to act mainly in the area of Electric Energy through the development of scientific and technological research with high-quality standards to compete at an international level through international cooperation. - Research lines - • Research line 1: Planning, Operation, and Control of Intelligent Electric Grids. The research on this line is more directly related to the electricity distribution system; • Research line 2: Telecommunications, Signal Processing, and Development of Technologies, methodologies and Innovative Products for REI. This line of research basically develops technologies to meet the objectives of the line of research 1 • Research line 3: Electricity Generation and Transmission Systems. The increasing insertion of Distributed Generation, coming from intermittent sources such as solar and wind, affects the system's inertia, the system's stability capacity, and the transient and steady demands of voltages and currents and influencing the conventional operating and planning paradigms of the generation systems, transmission, and Distribution of electric energy. ________ O INERGE é formado por um conjunto de pesquisadores das Universidades Federais de Juiz de Fora (UFJF), Itajubá (UNIFEI), Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Fluminense (UFF), São João Del Rei (UFSJ) e ABC (UFABC).
