The Houssian Foundation leverages philanthropic giving, impact investing, and movement-building to promote environmental protection, gender justice, and resilient communities. Created by the Houssian family in 2005, the Foundation has supported institutions and projects in Canada and worldwide, including hospitals, schools, advocacy organizations, and refugee resettlement and other front-line services. We continue to support many of our first grantees. Our vision is threefold: 1. A thriving environment in British Columbia that will sustain healthy ecosystems for future generations, and the collaborative approaches needed to get there 2. Powerful, interconnected feminist movements in Canada and globally advancing gender equality through social, educational, health, and economic progress 3. Strong community-based organizations providing essential services to vulnerable populations in Vancouver, the North Shore, Whistler, and Pemberton
