Overview

Hope for Single Moms helps the children in single mom families thrive by helping their moms get a career education. Our program is for single parents who want to be full-time students in college or trade school. Our goal is to remove the barriers they have to getting a career education and to give them the tools they need to have healthy children and to achieve, and maintain, economic independence. Poverty has detrimental effects on children. Those under 5 have slower brain development and experience long-term memory issues. School-age children, who are hungry, can't focus on school. Our teach-a-woman-to-fish approach provides hope with real solutions. It happens with the generosity of donors and volunteers who believe women and children deserve to thrive, not just survive!
