Overview

A team of researchers at University College Dublin (UCD) is developing a novel gait rehabilitation technology that combines the functions of robot-assisted gait therapy with the simplicity and economy of cycle ergometers. Their solution allows therapists to target specific muscle activations, and to tailor therapy to particular users, and enables gait retraining even among patients who are not ready to support their own body weight. To date, the design of the device has been guided by the needs of neurorehabilitation; however, the team is keen to speak to clinicians with expertise in orthopaedics and sports science. This is an opportunity to help shape a new technology to meet your clinical needs.
