Overview

Halogen is a not-for-profit founded in 1997 with a mission to inspire and empower a generation of young people who lead themselves and others well. Endorsed by the Prime Minister, Governor-General and all State Premiers, the organisation is approaching its 20th year as the premier provider of leadership education for Australian schools. As hosts of Australia’s largest and longest running youth leadership event, Halogen impacts more than 23,000 primary and secondary students each year through a dynamic program of keynote speakers and leadership insights. Formerly known as The National Young Leaders Day, Halogen’s IMAGINATION will ignite a community of young people who aspire to create real positive change in their schools and communities. The filament of the modern Halogen light-bulb is surrounded by a Halogen gas compound. The gas protects the filament and provides the conditions for it to burn hotter, longer and brighter than ever before. Halogen seeks to provide the right conditions for producing a generation of leaders who will burn bright on behalf of those they lead now and in the future.
