Sugar 2.0 started with a single father’s desire to lower his children’s sugar intake – with a solution they would actually love. Fortunately, this father was also a food product developer. After months of trials (with his kids as official taste testers) and nearly two years to perfect, Sugar 2.0 became that solution. Founded in 2015 and based in Southern California, Foods 2.0 strives to create “clean label” foods, using just a few main non-GMO ingredients – no byproducts or fillers – with a mission to reduce or eliminate added sugar. Its products, Sugar 2.0 and Sugar 2.0 + Probiotics are currently available in the baking aisle in over 1500 stores across the U.S. Sugar 2.0 is on a mission to combat childhood obesity, encourage affordable healthy living, and aid health conscious organizations. • Reducing sugar is important, but having sugar with fiber is critical. Soluble fiber helps slow the absorption of sugar in the body. Sugar 2.0 is addressing the growing rates of obesity, diabetes and other non-communicable diseases by ensuring their line of functional "reduced sugar" food products are available and affordable to everyone.
