In 1905 the founder of the company, Francisco Tejedor García, began to produce the sobrasada de Mallorca, a typical sausage of the island. Since then, the Tejedor family has continued to produce this product, which currently bears the „SOBRASADA DE MALLORCA“ Protected Geographical Indication label. EL ZAGAL is a family business that is always managed by the Tejedor family and is currently in its fourth generation. Sobrasada de Mallorca EL ZAGAL is a smoked pork sausage seasoned with paprika, which gives it a characteristic red colour, and because the meat is finely chopped, the sausage has a fine and creamy consistency. The company has modern production facilities and its own laboratory, which enables us to strictly control both the raw materials and all production processes. The following points are important points for our company: Specialization, we produce only Sobrasada de Mallorca. Tradition and quality. We produce under the names “SOBRASADA DE MALLORCA IGP" and “SOBRASADA DE MALLORCA IGP DE PORC NEGRE". Food security. We are the only sausage company on the island that is certified according to the Food Safety Standards IFS and BRC.
