Overview

Licensed Psychotherapist in Los Angeles, CA I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC3810) and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (180.010680). I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Specialization, with a concentration in Crisis and Trauma from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology – Chicago Campus. I also received a Master's of Arts Certificate in Holocaust and Genocide studies from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA, and my B.A. in Behavioral Science from National Louis University in Chicago IL. Additionally, I have earned certifications in Trauma and Resilience from Herzog Israel Center for the treatment of Psycho-trauma, and Somatic Experiencing from Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute. My training has been diverse; I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families at an elementary school, inpatient psychiatric hospital, outpatient addiction and pain management agency, community mental-health and private practice. In addition, I have obtained additional training in the aging brain, grief, Somatic Experiencing, neuro-developmental disorders, addictions, developmental trauma, domestic violence and sexual assault and EMDR. I have three areas of specialty in my practice, specifically: My mature adult in –home therapy program for seniors who are struggling with loneliness, grief, depression, family relationships, or memories of historical trauma. And, Adults who are struggling with trauma related symptoms such as post traumatic stress disorder and borderline personality disorder. In addition, I also specialize in Male victims of partner/spousal abuse. My Approach is empathic, warm, effective and authentic. I primarily work from a Gestalt/Solution-Focused framework while incorporating other helpful techniques such as mindfulness and meditative practice, cognitive behavioral therapy skills, and psychoeducation. I am also member of the American Counseling Association.
