Overview

Edinburgh Project SEARCH is an employability programme for young people (16-29) who have a disability. The programme is full-time and runs from August to June and the young people are based within one of our host businesses (the City of Edinburgh Council/Virgin Hotels or NHS Lothian) where they complete three 10-week work experience placements. The young people are supported by the host business staff, job coaches and Edinburgh College tutors to learn the role and develop the skills required to move into mainstream employment. The young people also complete a recognised qualification and Project SEARCH curriculum. Approximately 70% of our interns move into paid employment on completion of the programme.
