Founded in April 2020, EBMA operated under a simple mission of buying and delivering groceries to our neighbors for free. Realizing the gaps in our community food system, we have adopted self-reliance and community wealth-building values. We are strengthening the availability and access of healthy and affordable food in East Brooklyn; addressing the food crisis through direct community organizing, and providing a holistic approach to the interrelated needs of the afro-diasporic community.
